Migrating to Jekyll
In an ongoing attempt to make my life easier, I decided to switch from a vanilla HTML/CSS website to Jekyll. We’ll see if that plan actually works out over the next few weeks and months.
I’ve been capturing some of what I learn about various programming topics over in a Github repo since March. I’ve really started to like writing in Markdown. It gives me a sense of focus that modern word processors don’t – it’s all about the content with only functional styling allowed. You can fiddle with the real style later on, after producing something of substance.
I plan to keep capturing short snippets in the Github repo and use this blog for longer-form posts. Until then, I’m going to continue merging my old portfolio into the new blog, and hopefully learn some of this SASS nonsense that Jekyll uses.
